This Céline Paris brooch in two intertwined rings - one smooth engraved "CÉLINE PARIS", the other entirely paved with transparent rhinestones - is a piece of fashion jewelry with a striking graphic architecture, which alone concentrates everything that makes vintage Céline jewelry so desirable: sobriety, character and know-how.

The Céline house was founded in 1945 by Céline Vipiana and her husband Richard, first as a children's shoe boutique on rue de Malte in Paris. It was in 1973 that Céline Vipiana, inspired by the chains surrounding the Arc de Triomphe, created the "Blazon Chaîne" motif - interlacing of stylized Cs - which would become one of the most recognizable visual signatures of the house, available on coated canvases, accessories and jewelry. This pattern of intertwined rings, of which this brooch is a direct and sculptural expression, embodies the spirit of Blazon Chaîne in its most three-dimensional version.

Céline jewelry from the 1980s is distinguished by its bold and sculptural shapes, characteristic of the powerful tailoring aesthetic of the decade — generous volumes, gold metal, rhinestones and assertive geometry. The contrast between the smooth ring bearing the inscription "CÉLINE PARIS" in capital letters and the ring entirely set with transparent rhinestones creates an opposition of textures as elegant as it is unexpected. Pinned to the lapel of a blazer or jacket, this brooch (6 × 3.5 cm) makes an immediately remarkable focal point.

In good general condition, the gold plating is uniform and the rhinestones are intact, with no major defects to report. Slight signs of wear consistent with the age of the piece.
