Paloma Picasso has designed for Tiffany & Co. since 1980 — a collaboration that has therefore lasted for more than forty years, which is rare in jewellery. The house recognises in her a particular gift: that of finding beauty in unexpected places, from New York subway graffiti to a simple olive leaf. Her designs have that free, almost spontaneous line that is not found in classic jewellery.
The Loving Heart is the perfect illustration. The heart is drawn in a single gesture, as if in pencil: a continuous line that rises, falls, crosses at the bottom and lets its two ends extend freely. Nothing is closed, nothing is symmetrical — it is a drawn heart, not a cut-out heart. This overlapping detail that extends beyond is the model's signature, and what immediately distinguishes it from all other heart pendants on the market.
Crafted in 925 silver, on a very fine and delicate 40 cm chain. The piece weighs just 1.7 g: it is an extremely lightweight jewel that you forget you are wearing and that never gets in the way under a collar. It can be worn alone for its understated style, or layered with other chains. The hallmark is on the back of the pendant.
Good overall condition, grade B — light signs of previous use, functional clasp, legible hallmark. No major defects to report; the item is documented in the photos.
