The bucket bag is one of the most iconic shapes in the vintage Céline catalogue. Its vertical silhouette, wide opening tightened by a leather drawstring and reinforced leather base create a bag designed to hold plenty while remaining elegant. It is a format that has passed through the decades without ageing — and for good reason: there is no more natural shape for reaching what you need without rummaging.

This example is in Macadam coated canvas, the interlocking-arc motif that is the most immediately recognisable signature of historic Céline. The canvas is clean and free from defects. The brown leather details — reinforced base, upper band with loops, adjustable shoulder strap, drawstring — have developed a beautiful, even caramel patina, that warm, vibrant golden tone that only natural leather acquires over time. The leather Céline patch, embossed with the crest, is placed on the front.

The bag is sold with its matching Macadam pouch, attached by a gold chain — an accessory rarely retained on vintage examples, which serves as a coin purse or small case for pocket essentials.
