Since the house's beginnings, Christian Dior has made the scarf far more than a simple accessory: a miniature couture piece, conceived as a painting, where each motif tells part of the house's imagination. This example unfolds on its fuchsia pink background an interplay of interlaced curb chains, braided cords, chiselled medallions, hearts and CD monograms — an ornamental vocabulary drawing on jewellery and passementerie, two worlds the house has never ceased to cultivate.
