The Jackie is one of those bags that took the name of the woman who wore it. Launched by Gucci in the 1960s under another name, it became “Jackie” in the public's mind after being repeatedly seen on the arm of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, who made it her everyday bag. The house eventually formalised the usage. It is a rare reversal: the brand did not name the object; the object inherited a first name.

The silhouette has not changed since. A supple crescent that hugs the side, rounded handles to carry by hand or slip under the shoulder, a central leather strap running down the front, and above all that piston clasp — the sliding mechanism that opens with a press of the thumb, now the model's signature. It is a bag that closes and opens in one gesture, with no zip or buckle to undo.

This model combines GG Supreme monogram jacquard canvas, in its historic beige colourway, with smooth mustard yellow leather details: handles, central strap, panels and base. The gold-tone hardware adds further warmth to the overall look. Inside, there is a zipped pocket and enough space for a phone, compact wallet, passport, AirPods, lipstick and keys. Made in Italy, serial number 002-1067-****.

Good overall condition, grade B — hardware in good condition, handles in very good condition, corners in good condition, clean interior, light signs of previous use on the underside.
