Following successful collaborations centred on tableware and outdoor furniture, Serax and Vincent Van Duysen join forces once again to create a sofa collection expressing the DNA of both institutions. "I thought it would be a great idea if we could translate a custom piece that I frequently use in my projects into an edited product. That’s how this collection started to take shape." The name Rudolph refers to Rudolf Michael Schindler, a key figure of mid-century American modernism. "I have great admiration for him. The mid-century style is very inspiring for my work, such as the typical built-in benches that define modern interiors. But the most significant source of inspiration for this collection was the sofa in my home in Portugal, because of its proportions, lines, and the serenity one feels looking at it or sitting on it." The Rudolph sofa is available in a freestanding version, as a two- or three-seater and a single seater, with wooden side tables featuring marble tops. Freestanding side and central tables complete the collection.
