Care instructions

To protect, clean, and revive the lustre of your wooden furniture, we recommend simply using a duster and maintaining it regularly.

• Avoid direct exposure to sunlight and heat.
• Sudden changes in temperature and excessively low humidity can cause warping and cracks.
• Never place damp or hot items on unprotected furniture, as this could leave marks/stains that are difficult to remove.
• Use a dry cloth for everyday cleaning.
• Placing the item near heat sources will affect the wood and may cause cracks to appear.
• Do not cover the wood with airtight materials.

Oil treatment: Always use an oil suitable for the furniture. Apply a thin layer of oil using a soft sponge, working in the direction of the grain on both the top and bottom of the piece. To protect the wood, it is recommended to treat your furniture with oil once a month for the first 6 months, and then 2 to 4 times a year thereafter.

Cleaning the wood: use a wood cleaner on stubborn areas. Always remember to apply an oil treatment after such cleaning.

Information

On an oak veneer table, colour variations between the tabletop and the extension leaves are normal because wood is naturally variable (every veneer is different), wood does not absorb stain or varnish entirely uniformly, and the tabletop matures and darkens with light exposure, unlike extension leaves which are often stored away.
