Clusia Rosea Princess – Indoor Plant

The pitch apple is native to the tropical regions of the Americas. In Latin, this plant is called Clusia rosea, and in English, Autograph Tree. This is because its leaves are so thick and tough that you could carve your signature into them. These leaves have a distinctive sheen and can reach around 20 centimetres in diameter. They are paddle-shaped and have air-purifying properties. As a houseplant, the autograph tree can grow into a shrub or even a small tree. In the wild, it blooms with lovely pink and white flowers. Under the right conditions, this flowering can also happen indoors—provided the plant is kept in a warm, humid environment.
