Aeschynanthus Mona Lisa – Indoor Plant

The bright red flowers of this indoor plant appear in the shape of a lipstick. They then open their petals, revealing a small bell-shaped flower. For this reason, Aeschynanthus 'Mona Lisa' is also known as the lipstick plant. This type of plant is native to the tropical regions of Asia, where it grows as an epiphyte on tree branches. 'Mona Lisa' is a hybrid cultivated for use as an indoor plant. It looks particularly stunning in a hanging pot or hanging planter, with its leafy stems cascading playfully over the edge. The leaves are dark green on top and light green underneath, creating a lovely contrast of different shades of green.
