This Céline Paris brooch with two interlocking rings — one smooth and engraved "CÉLINE PARIS", the other entirely pavé-set with clear rhinestones — is a strikingly graphic piece of fashion jewellery architecture, encapsulating everything that makes vintage Céline jewellery so desirable: simplicity, character and craftsmanship.

The Céline house was founded in 1945 by Céline Vipiana and her husband Richard, initially as a children's shoe boutique on Rue de Malte in Paris. In 1973, Céline Vipiana, inspired by the chains surrounding the Arc de Triomphe, created the "Blazon Chaîne" motif — interlocking stylised Cs — which would become one of the house's most recognisable visual signatures, used across coated canvases, accessories and jewellery. This interlocking-ring motif, of which this brooch is a direct and sculptural expression, embodies the spirit of Blazon Chaîne in its most three-dimensional form.

Céline jewellery from the 1980s stands out for its bold, sculptural forms, characteristic of the decade's powerful tailoring aesthetic — generous volumes, gold-tone metal, rhinestones and assertive geometry. The contrast between the smooth ring bearing the inscription "CÉLINE PARIS" in capital letters and the ring entirely set with clear rhinestones creates an interplay of textures that is as elegant as it is unexpected. Pinned to the lapel of a blazer or jacket, this brooch (6 × 3.5 cm) becomes an instantly striking focal point.

In very good overall condition, the gold plating is even and the rhinestones are intact, with no major flaws to report. Slight signs of wear consistent with the age of the piece.
