Description & history

The Gucci 2305L is a watch that perfectly embodies the Gucci of the 2000s – a pivotal era when Tom Ford imposed on the world a minimalist, sophisticated and rigorously architectural vision of luxury. This rectangular steel case, this matte black dial, these fine hands and this integrated case-bracelet interweaving: a sober and coherent design gesture, designed for the woman who needs to prove nothing.

It was Tom Ford who, by taking over the creative direction of Gucci in 1994, turned around a house then on the brink of collapse and made it one of the most powerful brands of the late 90s and early 2000s. His aesthetic – minimalist on one side, sensual on the other – permeates all of the house's production, including watches. Gucci timepieces from this period are distinguished precisely by their architectural sobriety: brushed stainless steel, refined dials, absence of time indices in favor of the simple brand logo. The 2305L is the most direct expression of this for the female wrist.

Technically, the 2305L combines what you would expect from a luxury watch: Swiss Made quartz movement with 7 jewels, scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, 17 mm rectangular stainless steel case, secure deployment clasp, water resistance up to 30 meters. The integrated steel bracelet (14.5 cm) fits thin to medium wrists — additional links can be removed if necessary.

In good general condition, the watch has micro-scratches on the case and bracelet — inherent to stainless steel and daily wear, without affecting operation. The dial is intact.
