Description & history
The Gucci Soho Disco is one of the Florentine house's most iconic bags of the 2010s — and this iridescent pink version, a limited color among the model's rarest and most coveted, is exactly the bag you pull out on spring evenings when you want everything else to be forgotten.
Launched in 2012, the Gucci Soho Disco quickly became one of the house's best-selling bags — its round format, its supple grained leather, its embossed GG interlocking and its twisted leather pompom made it an instantly recognizable piece without ever falling into ostentation. The house officially discontinued it after 2018, replacing it with the Blondie — which makes the examples in circulation all the more desirable, especially in special colors like this metallic iridescent pink that catches the light in a totally unique way.
The iridescent pink grained leather — textured and metallic — changes depending on the light: pink in the dim light, copper in the sun, almost silver under the neon lights. The GG interlocking is both embossed (hollowed in the leather) and topstitched (bordered with a stitching line) for a dual tactile and visual presence. The 110 cm silver chain can be worn cross-shoulder for discreet and free carry, or doubled over the shoulder for shorter and more structured carry — two silhouettes in one bag.
