Following successful collaborations focused on tableware and outdoor furniture, Serax and Vincent Van Duysen once again join forces to create a sofa collection expressing the DNA of both institutions. “I thought it would be a great idea if we could translate a custom-made piece that I use very often in my projects into a production item. That is how this collection started to take shape.” The name Rudolph refers to Rudolf Michael Schindler, a major protagonist of American mid-century modernism. “I have great admiration for him. The mid-century style is very inspiring for my work, like the typical built-in banquettes that adorn modern interiors. But the most significant source of inspiration for this collection was the sofa in my home in Portugal, because of its proportions, its lines, and the serenity one feels looking at it or sitting on it.” The Rudolph sofa is available as a freestanding version, in two/three-seater and single-seater formats, with wooden side tables featuring marble tops. Freestanding side and coffee tables complete the collection.
