Why is it better to use an electric toothbrush rather than a manual one?

All studies on the subject tend toward the same conclusions: using an electric toothbrush is better for your teeth than a manual toothbrush. Electric toothbrushes remove more plaque than traditional toothbrushes. They also help reduce gum bleeding and make brushing much simpler and more enjoyable!

What is sonic technology and how is it different from conventional electric toothbrushes?

The sonic technology in our toothbrushes differs from oscillating-rotating technology (the most common type on the toothbrush market). This sonic technology, which may feel a little ticklish at first (it can be surprising!), removes plaque very effectively thanks to tens of thousands of tiny vibrations in the brush bristles that mimic the vertical back-and-forth motion of a well-executed manual brushing.

We conducted a study with our customers, and 90% of them consider brushing with MyVariations to be less aggressive than their previous toothbrush, rising to 95% for those who previously had an oscillating-rotating brush!

Furthermore, effective brushing with sonic technology allows for excellent removal of dental plaque, and therefore prevents the appearance of tartar (which is nothing more than poorly removed, crystallized and solidified dental plaque) which can only be removed through scaling by your dentist!

What are the differences between the MyVariations Kids toothbrush and the adult toothbrush?

The MyVariations Kids toothbrush is smaller, lighter, and has features tailored to their specific needs. Its lower stroke frequency provides even gentler brushing.
Just like the adult model, the head is equipped with soft nylon bristles; we have also added a rubber part to the children's brush heads for increased safety.

From what age can my child use this toothbrush?

The MyVariations Kids toothbrush is recommended for children from 3 years old up to approximately 12 years old. Beyond that age, they can switch directly to the adult model! Children aged 10-12 can also switch directly to the adult model. For younger children or babies, dentists recommend that babies' teeth be brushed by an adult.

Can Kids brush heads be put on adult handles?

The brush heads are interchangeable between adult and children's models; however, we don't really recommend doing so, as children's toothbrushes are designed specifically for little ones. The head is different, smaller, and perfectly suited to children, and the handle is also lighter, smaller, and easier for small hands to grip. 🤗 Furthermore, the brushing modes on the Kids brush are designed for young children from 3 years old. Brushing should be gentler than adult brushing, and the two modes on the Kids brush are even gentler than the "Sensitive" mode on the adult brush. 😉 This really prevents exposing children's gums and teeth to brushing that might be too vigorous. Also, remember that children from 10-12 years old can switch directly to the adult brush!

Are brush heads from other brands compatible?

Brush heads sold by other brands are not compatible with the MyVariations toothbrush. MyVariations brush heads are equipped with Dupont nylon bristles and are specially designed to remove plaque; they are recommended by dentists affiliated with the UFSBD (French Union for Oral Health).

I have sensitive teeth and gums, can I use your toothbrush?

Absolutely! The MyVariations toothbrush is 100% suitable for people with sensitive teeth and gums. The 5 different brushing modes allow everyone to find the one that suits them best. We recommend using the sensitive teeth mode (red) to start. The brush can also be used in cases of gingivitis/periodontitis.

What are the different brushing methods (adult brush)?

The different modes allow each user to find the one that suits them best, thanks to slightly different vibration frequencies and more or less extensive hair movements.

Regarding the modes, there are 5:

- White (blue): This is the most powerful, it has the highest movement frequency and allows for a slightly more vigorous cleaning, especially for people who produce a lot of dental plaque.

- Clean (green): This is the "normal" mode, with a medium movement frequency and allows for very effective cleaning.

- Sensitive (red): slightly less powerful and with the lowest movement frequency, it is particularly suitable for people with especially sensitive gums or teeth; it will be even gentler than the other modes while remaining super effective. 😉

- Polish (flashing blue): it allows you to "smooth" and polish the surface of the teeth to give them even more shine by alternating the two highest movement frequencies, and we recommend using it as a finishing touch, in addition to a fixed mode, or occasionally.

- Massage (flashing green): This mode stimulates gum circulation and improves blood flow, thus strengthening the bond between the tooth and gum to prevent gingivitis or the recurrence of gum recession, for example. 👍

Note that all modes can be used individually on a daily basis, or alternately; it's up to you, depending on your needs, although, as mentioned, the last two modes were designed to be used as a complement or occasionally 🤗

Which toothpaste should be used with the MyVariations KIDS electric toothbrush?

Your child's usual toothpaste is perfectly fine, as long as it doesn't contain alcohol, essential oils, sodium bicarbonate, or sodium lauryl sulfate. These powerful substances, found in some toothpastes, can damage the brush heads. Just a pea-sized amount of toothpaste on the brush and you're good to go! Brushing can begin.

Is the MyVariations toothbrush silent?

The MyVariations toothbrush is generally less quiet than most other electric toothbrushes.

Where are your toothbrushes made?

We want to be transparent with our customers: our toothbrushes are produced in China.

When we launched, we tried to manufacture in France; however, no factory met our requirements for this type of product, and we also lacked the resources to open our own factory. 😞
We therefore developed a partnership with a renowned electric toothbrush manufacturer based in China, with over 20 years of experience in the industry, and conducted extensive testing with our early adopters and dentists to ensure the best possible experience for our customers 🤓 . More than 6,000 dentists and dental assistants have tested our toothbrush to date, with very high levels of satisfaction!
Furthermore, our toothbrushes have been tested by the UFSBD's scientific committee, composed of 12 dental surgeons who are experts in their field, and validated from all points of view, both regarding their effectiveness in removing dental plaque and the gentleness of the brushing action. MyVariations is also the only brand of electric toothbrushes officially recommended to date by UFSBD dentists.
Furthermore, we are indeed a 100% French company, based in Paris, with stocks that are shipped directly from our logistics warehouse also based in Ile-de-France.
Regarding production, we organize our own productions according to our specifications, every month with our producer, with whom we have a long-standing relationship of trust.

I feel a tickling sensation during the first few brushings, is that normal?

Absolutely, this is a perfectly normal sensation. The sonic technology in our toothbrushes allows for ultra-efficient brushing without damaging your teeth and gums, thanks to 40,000 vibrations per minute. Your mouth needs time to adjust to this new brushing method. The tickling sensation disappears after just a few brushings and is quickly replaced by the feeling of ultra-clean teeth!

There is a small gap between the body and the head of my brush, is that normal?

All our toothbrushes have a small gap (a few millimeters) between the body and the brush head. This is perfectly normal: this gap is there so that the sonic vibrations of the brush head are not reduced by friction with the brush body.

What is the battery life?
The MyVariations toothbrush is equipped with a super-long-lasting battery that lasts for a month. Travel worry-free! The Kids version has a battery life of up to one month in Soft mode and approximately three and a half weeks in Pulse mode.


What is your warranty policy?

We offer a 2-year warranty to our customers. If you subscribe on our website www.myvariations.com to receive brush heads regularly, the warranty is extended for the entire duration of the subscription (see Terms and Conditions on our website).


From what age is it possible to use the MyVariations toothbrush?

We usually recommend using our toothbrushes from 10-12 years old, especially if the child is not used to using an electric toothbrush. For younger children, we recommend starting with the Kids toothbrush (from 3 to 12 years old).

How durable are your brushes and battery?

Our toothbrush batteries last for a month (compared to 14 days for a standard electric toothbrush). This excellent performance means you only need to recharge the brush once every 30 days, thus reducing the number and frequency of charges required.

This low recharging requirement is therefore very beneficial in terms of the overall lifespan of our batteries, ensuring their longevity! It will be several years at least before the battery begins to show even the slightest signs of weakness, so you're set for a while!

How do I recharge the toothbrush?

To recharge your toothbrush, simply open the small rubber flap located underneath the brush (using your fingernail or a small flat object) to connect the charging cable to the port on the brush. Let the brush charge for 3-4 hours for a full charge, and you're good to go for another month of use!

Remember to close the flap securely after loading to restore the brush's seal!


Can I use the MyVariations toothbrush in the shower?

Absolutely! Our brushes are 100% waterproof, so you can use them in the shower without any worries. Just be sure to close the charging port cover securely to maintain the seal.

Are the brush heads recyclable?
